The SHA and the SKM celebrated 24 years of joint award partnership on 28 November 2018.

A total of 131 award winners from 76 hotels participated in the Service Gold Award this year. Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Ms Sim Ann graced the event at Amara Singapore and presented award frames to the winners.

Currently in its 6th year, 7 local and overseas guests were nominated by hotels for the Gracious Guest Recognition Award. This award is presented to guests who have displayed gracious acts to hotel staff. One of the overseas guests nominated by Swissôtel Merchant Court, Singapore, Mr Kenji Okumura from Japan attended the event and received his award from Guest-of-Honour, Ms Sim Ann.
