The Finals of the SG50 "A Toast to the Nation" Competition was held on 15 December 2014 (Monday) at the M Hotel Singapore.

In celebration of Singapore's upcoming 50th birthday, SG 50 “A Toast to the Nation” Competition was organised by SHA, managed by SHATEC and supported by the following:

• SG50 Partnership Committee
• International Bartenders Association
• Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers Singapore.

35 hotels submitted a total of 61 cocktails and mocktails for the qualifying rounds which were held on 2 December 2014 at Recipes – A bistro by SHATEC.

At the Finals, there were 12 Cocktails and 8 Mocktails, from 14 hotels that vied for the top spot in this exciting competition. The event was graced by Mr Sam Tan, Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth. Mr Tan also gave away the trophies and prizes to the winners of both the Mocktail and Cocktail categories.

After an exciting afternoon, “Singapura Nacional” by Regent Singapore and “Golden Harvest" by Grand Hyatt Singapore were crowned winning drinks for the SG50 “A Toast to the Nation” Competition for the Cocktail and Mocktail category, respectively.
