Cheese Murtabak

INGREDIENTS

Dough (2 sets)

  • 300g Plain Flour
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 170ml Water
  • 250ml Oil

Chicken Filling

  • 300g Minced chicken
  • 30g Premixed meat curry powder
  • 2 Chopped tomatoes
  • 1 Chopped onion
  • Garlic and ginger chopped
  • Salt pepper to taste
  • 2tbls Cooking oil
  • 200g Mozzarella cheese
  • Chili sauce

PREPARATION

Dough

  1. Mix flour, salt and water.
  2. Knead for 1 minute.
  3. Separate into 3-4 portions.
  4. Soak in cooking oil.

Chicken Filling

  1. Sauté garlic, ginger, onion and curry paste with oil until fragrant.
  2. Add minced chicken and stir for 3 minutes.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, braise for 3 minutes.
  5. Set the filling aside.

Assembly

  1. Spread dough into thin circle.
  2. Add filling and top with cheese.
  3. Fold sides upwards to wrap the filling.
  4. Heat pan up with some oil, fry murtabak for 3 minutes on each side until crispy.
  5. Serve with chilli sauce.
