SHATEC Global
Overview
SHATEC Global (SHATEC-G) is the international arm set up by SHA, to undertake businesses beyond the shores of Singapore in the following areas:
- To provide consultancy in the setting up of hotel and tourism training institutes
- To provide the use of proprietary programmes and curricula for implementation in host countries
- To provide training services, structured or adhoc, in the fields of hotel operations and hospitality for participants from training institutions and the industry
Our partners will be able to benefit from products, services and administrative support from SHATEC Global in the following areas:
- Developing curricula and programmes
Consultancy services in setting up training institutes, training human resources, planning facilities and space, and a whole suite of add-ons that will facilitate the operation of a hotel and tourism training institute

Model
The SHATEC Model of hospitality education is a proven working model that has been implemented with much success in Singapore and partner institutions in Asia.
The model emphasises on three key pillars:
- A strong theoretical foundation which leads to a firm repertoire of knowledge pertaining to the specialisation of study
- A strong emphasis on skills acquisition through laboratory and hands-on training
- A strong link to industry to reinforce the training from institutional training and real-life practices in the industry
Whilst there may be environmental and cultural variance between the countries, SHATEC Global will work closely with partner institutions to ensure contextualisation and a seamless transfer of know-how in running a hotel and tourism training institute.
