NEWS AND EVENTS

Jointly organised by SHA, SPF (Singapore Police Force), NCPC (National Crime Prevention Council) and MOM (Ministry of Manpower), the Annual Hotel Security Awards Presentation Ceremony and Conference 2025 was held on 27 October 2025 at Furama RiverFront Singapore. We were delighted to have Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development as the Guest-of-Honour to present the Hotel Category Awards to 96 hotels and 18 Individual Special Mention Award Recipients. Held in conjunction with the awards presentation ceremony was the hotel security conference as well as a mini-exhibition showcasing the latest security solutions and capabilities for the hotel industry.

Themed “Vigilance in Hotels: Prevent, Protect, Empower”,  the conference had 3 papers and a panel discussion as follows.
•  “Violent Extremism, Radicalisation & Singapore” by Ministry of Home Affairs
•  “Cybersecurity for Hotels” by Mr Dan Yock Hau, Assistant Chief Executive (National Cyber Resilience), Cyber Security Agency of Singapore
•  “Strengthening Community Resilience Against Scams”, by Mr Nicholas Khoo, Chairman, Commercial Sector Sub-Committee, National Crime Prevention Council
•  SGSecure Panel discussion on “Handling Security Threats”, Moderated by Ms Margaret Heng, Executive Director, SHA
