SHA and WSG jointly organised a webinar titled “Reinventing the New Norm through Digitalisation and Job Redesign” on 26 March 2021.
 

The informative webinar started with a presentation by Mr Samir Bedir, Partner, ASEAN Workforce Advisory Leader, Ernst & Young on “COVID-19 Challlenges and Opportunities for Hotels”.
 

This was followed by an engaging panel discussion where industry partners discussed job redesign experiences, best practices and the future of work in the new norm .
 

Facilitated by Ms Margaret Heng, Executive Director of SHA, the panelists comprised:

• Mr Kung Teong Wah, Cluster General Manager, Copthorne King’s Hotel and M Hotel Singapore
• Mr Leslie Lenus, Area Director of Talent & Culture, Novotel Singapore on Stevens & Mercure Singapore on Stevens
• Mr Benny Chung, General Manager, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road
• Ms Julie Cheong, President, Food, Drinks & Allied Workers Union

The last segment of the programme was a sharing by Ms Insyirah Razin, Manager, Tourism Division, Workforce Singapore on programmes for hotels to embark on their job redesign journey.
