On 22 January 2016, 10 hotels from Singapore were presented with the ASEAN Green Hotel Award 2016 at an award ceremony, which was held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, The Philippines, alongside the ASEAN Tourism Forum. The biennial ASEAN Green Hotel Award aims to recognise the efforts of environmentally-friendly hotels around the region.
