The 32nd FDAWU/NTUC/SHA Productivity Seminar cum "Employee of the Year" and "Productivity Idea" Award Presentation was held on 11 July 2014 at Furama RiverFront, Singapore.
This year, a record number of 57 deserving employees were nominated by their respective organisations to receive the "Employee of the Year" award.
Nine hotels were also recognised at the ceremony for their implementation of "Productivity Ideas" to boost productivity. Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore emerged as the grand winner of "Productivity Idea" Award 2014, while Hard Rock Hotel, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre and Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore received Special Mention.
Following the award presentation, Mr Reto Klauser, Vice President & General Manger of Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore was invited to share on their winning idea for the "Productivity Idea" Award 2014.
The event was well attended by more than 180 representatives from the hotel industry.
